ASSISTANT DISPENSARY MANAGER | MESA

The Giving Tree Wellness Center is a leading Arizona Licensed Medical Marijuana Dispensary. We opened our doors in May 2013 and then expanded to include a Mesa location in July 2013. At Giving Tree, we work with medical professionals collaboratively to help certified patients access high quality medical cannabis.

The Giving Tree is looking for an organized, efficient, professional individual who possesses excellent hospitality, customer service skills and who has exceptional leadership capabilities, and proven retail management experience for our Assistant Dispensary Manager position at our Mesa, AZ location. The Assistant Dispensary Manager plays a vital role in being the connector point between management and all other staff. They are responsible for the daily operations of the Medical Marijuana Dispensary including but not limited to: strict adherence to compliance policies and laws, MED paperwork, sales, cash handling processes, financial reporting, inventory management, vendor relationships, customer service, regulatory compliance, patient communications, patient education, and patient information management, operating under the highest standards. Additionally you will be working as a Lead Patient Consultant on certain days as needed.

Responsibilities

-Customer Care and Patient Satisfaction.
-Assist the Store Manager in organizing, planning and implementing strategy
-Leading the Patient Consultant Team in all daily operations of the business and to support, -inspire, connect and develop leadership skills
-Strong communication skills with patients, to evaluate their needs and specifications
-Continuous and positive communication skills with team members, managers and owners.
-Ensures compliance objectives are met
-Executes the mission, vision, values of The Giving Tree Wellness Center
-Training & development of the staff
-Cash handling
-Support the Shift Leads and scheduling breaks
-Open and close Dispensary
-Maintain positive vendor relationships
-Identify solutions that decrease waste, increase efficiency and positively impact the bottom line
-Emergency shift coverage
-Overall facility management and maintenance

Requirements:

-2-3 years of hotel, restaurant or customer facing experience.
-Minimum 2 years of management in a customer facing environment
-Cash handling
-Familiar with financial and customer service principles and practices
-Good math skills
-Proficient user of MS Office
-Outstanding leadership and organizational abilities
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
-Bachelor's degree is Required
-Must read, be familiar with and abide by all aspects of ARS 36 Chapter 28.1 (The Arizona Medical Marijuana Act) and AAC Title 9 Chapter 17 (The Department of Health Services Medical Marijuana --Program Rules).

DISPENSARY MANAGER | MESA

At Giving Tree, we work with medical professionals collaboratively to help certified patients access high quality medical cannabis.  Unlike other dispensaries, Giving Tree Wellness Center takes a holistic approach in supporting our patients by offering a range of medical marijuana products along with alternative healing methods to promote the best quality of life possible through both our North Phoenix and Mesa locations.  Our welcoming environment and experienced professionals spend time with our patients to help them select the package of services to meet their individual needs. 

It is in this spirit of holistic service that the Giving Tree Wellness Center is looking for an organized, efficient, professional individual with excellent customer service skills, exceptional leadership capabilities, and proven retail management experience for the Dispensary Manager position at The Giving Tree Wellness Center in Mesa.

The Dispensary Manager is responsible for the needs and wellbeing of the staff and the business as it relates to the implementation of the mission, vision and values set forth by the management team. The Dispensary Manager must lead the store in a fast paced and ever changing working environment, while maintaining an eye for excellence. 

The Dispensary Manager plays a vital role in being the connector point between management and all other staff. They are responsible for the daily operations of the Medical Marijuana Dispensary including but not limited to:  strict adherence to compliance policies and laws, MED paperwork, sales, cash handling processes, financial reporting, inventory management, vendor relationships, customer service, regulatory compliance, patient communications, patient education, and patient information management, operating under the highest standards of professionalism.

Overall:

● Overseeing the Patient Consultant team in all daily operations of the business

● Providing guidance for the buyer and inventory manager and their team

● Executes the mission, vision, values of the Giving Tree Wellness Center

● Ensures compliance – the business and employees are in compliance with all laws,

regulations and company policies

● Promotes the business

● Verifies all payroll hours are correct

● Emergency shift coverage

● Hiring and training staff

● Scheduling

● Day to day financial oversight

● Prepare and process money daily

● Facilities purchasing

● Delegate the maintenance menu and online menus

● Organize product as needed

Staff support:

● Floor deployment of staff and self (where are they zoned and why)

● Support the Shift leads and scheduling breaks

● Scheduling staff

● Employee training

● Employee feedback & reviews

● Employee discipline

● Coordinating employee meetings

● Influence and maintain a positive, productive culture

Supply Management

● Oversight of a comprehensive supply management system that:

○ Make appropriate vendor/product decisions

○ Keep track of market trends

○ Maintain positive vendor relationships

● Identify solutions that decrease waste, increase efficiency and positively impact the

bottom line.

● Oversight of inventory control work

○ compliance ○ accuracy

Facilities:

● Overall facility management and maintenance

● Business neighbor relationship management

Requirements:

● Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required

● Minimum 3+ years customer service/retail management/hospitality or restaurant management experience

● Proven track record of managing 10+ employees

● High energy and a passion for driving revenue

● Strong interpersonal skills

● Excellent customer service and rapport building skills

● Recruiting and team development skills

● Collaborates effectively with peers, the business and other team members

● Working knowledge of cannabis and paraphernalia

● Working knowledge of Outlook, Excel and Google Spreadsheets

● Reflect the values of the brand with integrity and respect for others. Be seen as

truthful, fair and trustworthy and demonstrate enthusiasm and passion for the brand.

Pay: 55K + bonus depending on experience.
